I was a little embarrassed to post on here about how we haven’t been exercising recently. However that post did help get me off my butt today and on to the treadmill.
First time on the treadmill in awhile and I still beat my last time (14.10) by almost two minutes!! I finished the mile in 12 minutes and 15 seconds. Its not great compared to some people but its more than enough to make me feel good!!! :)
Between getting sick (more than once) and the weather change, and varying schedules of work and (his) classes, my boyfriend and I haven’t been able to exercise as much as we have been. We had been lifting about three times a week and getting in cardio by taking Titan on walks or going biking. Our trail riding got put on hold while I recovered from the fall back at the end of August. I’m slowly getting better at it but it takes time. Too bad the season for that is almost over.
I’m not angry but I am disappointed in myself.
Last month we both lost 1-2 pounds which doesn’t sound like a lot but considering that we haven’t been at our best, it is nice. Except next week is Thanksgiving so I wouldn’t be surprised if we gained that back.
soo true
This applies to everything in life, but is especially true for exercising!

This is one of my friends that I went to high school with. He doesn’t have a Tumblr, but I obviously do, and I felt like his picture needed to be seen by people. The two pictures were taken a year apart from each other, weighing 195 lbs with 17% body fat and now 153 lbs with 4% body fat. He is now a bodybuilder and has changed many aspects of his life in order to live with this new lifestyle.
“My inspiration came from within. I was my own inspiration, and I feel like that’s the only way to transform. If you don’t believe you can do it, you will fail. Believe in yourself and it will take you a long way.”
I hope at least one person will see this and find it motivational. Go achieve what you want. It’s all up to you. You can do it. He is another success story. You can be next. What are you waiting for.
Reblogging this for the guys out there! You can all do it!

First time running in I don’t know how long. Finished a mile in 14 minutes and 10 seconds. Hopefully I can beat that next time! :)

A month ago this Friday, so August 31st, I fell while my boyfriend and I were mountain biking. Essentially I was going too fast down a hill. At the bottom of the hill, the trail cut to the right and when I went to follow it, my bike must have skidded on the sand/gravel and the bike went to the left and I went to the right. Ended up with huge swelling along my temple and outer eye and cheekbone along the right side of my face, what was essentially road rash on my right knee and right shoulder, right elbow was hella swollen, scraped and bruised right hip, huge bruise and swelling on the back of my right calf, plus other random assorted cuts and scrapes and bruises. Neither of us had phones with us so we walked the remaining mile or so back to the car so I could call mum and tell her what happened. She met us at the urgent care and after we finally got seen, I was told I’d be extremely lucky since I didn’t have any broken bones or need any stitches.
Once the swelling on my head went down, I had a hideous black eye. It’s almost completely gone finally!! All of my cuts and scrapes are finally healed up, I’ve got icky scars on my shoulder and knee though. My only lasting problem is a hematoma on my hip. The swelling from it has gone down a lot in the past week or two but it’s still there. I went back to the doctor a week after the fall so that they could xray my hip just in case, mainly to appease mum. They said I might have chipped my hip but that there wasn’t really anything else they could do for me. They said it would probably be there for at least 4 to 6 weeks. Ick.
Last week, we went on a 6.6 mile ride through the neighborhood and nearby park. It was nice, I did fine for the most part. Today, we went to a different trail than where I’d fallen (my decision) and we rode that one. I was terrified. I almost had a panic attack. I had to essentially walk my bike down every hill. When my boyfriend went back to do a second lap of the trail while I waited by the car, he finished in about twenty minutes. Our first lap took almost an hour. I don’t know if I can do it again. I know I have to keep trying but I get scared. I don’t know what to do. I feel like a coward.
